HOW FOREST WOOD STUDIO BEGAN
Forest Wood Studio Carpentry grew from working on large scale theatrical sets and event production carpentry. As Covid lockdowns closed events across the country, our focus shifted to creating well-designed, functional and lovely spaces for people’s homes, and Forest Wood Studio grew from there.
A subsequent move to the Forest of Dean created a natural connection between quality joinery & carpentry, and locally sourced timber.
Projects range from complete room design and builds, to small jobs installing worktops, fitting shelves and replacing doors. A browse through the Project section will let you see some of the things that have been created. If it involves fitting, fixing or custom carpentry then it can very likely be done for you.
HANDCRAFTED JOINERY THAT COMBINES TRADITIONAL AESTHETICS WITH CONTEMPORARY PROCESSES
We offer a wide range of carpentry and joinery services that incorporate many new and innovative techniques. As a client, we can work with you to design and build projects for your home that work both with you and for you. For medium and larger projects, we use 3D Computer Aided Design to allow you to visualise how your project will look, and ensure it works for your space, allowing any fine tuning before being created in the workshop.
Using our extensive knowledge, we can help you choose the right timber for your project and budget, and can source a wide range of timber locally, including Forest of Dean hardwoods if this is something you would like to explore. We can add a quality finish and detail to your project through the use of built-in LED lighting, smooth finish high-pressure paint spraying, and the blending of existing period features with functional, contemporary design.
