It was a pleasure to be introduced to the client for this project by a previous client. Following on from structural building work, the room was themed with William Morris wallpaper and colours. CAD drawing the elements and possibilities for the client enabled them to visualise the style and see how the concept would work. The design created a huge amount of practical storage in a style sympathetic to the renovation of the room. Balancing full-width hanging rail, accessible top cupboards, wide-opening doors, deep storage drawers, slide-out slatted boot shelves and box shelving maximised the use of space. A cutout upper door was created that let the room’s substantial oak beam continue through the cupboard without changing the look of the flow of the doors.
